About the Role

The ideal candidate for this role is an Affordable Multifamily Housing Lending professional who will build market position by identifying potential C-PACE project financing opportunities directly with HUD multifamily property owners.  We are looking for a proven hunter and closer possessing strong relationships within the target customer base, and with exceptional skills in prospecting, qualifying, developing and closing business. Client presentations, relationship development and assessing both insured and uninsured project eligibility for PACE and new construction financing are critical components of this position. Success will be measured by the revenues generated from closed PACE financings.

We are a commercial PACE program administrator in California, and a PACE Qualified Capital Provider in over 20 other states.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Locates and proposes qualified commercial PACE project financing opportunities through existing and new relationships primarily with HUD Affordable Multifamily property owners, sponsors and developers
  • Drives lead generation, project term sheets and executed Letters of Intent
  • Coordinates with the SVP PACE and local PACE program administrators in securing HUD approval of jurisdictional PACE programs and specific PACE project financing requests
  • Manages pipeline by tracking and reporting on the status of all leads, term sheets and Letters of Intent
  • Contributes to business development strategy by providing market and competitive intelligence to the Dividend PACE team
  • Increases market awareness of our Commercial PACE and identifies trendsetting ideas by networking, researching and attending industry and related events, reading publications and announcements; and tracking channel partner advances and results in the market

Skills & Experience:

  • BA or BS degree in Business Administration, Finance, Real Estate, Sales, Marketing or equivalent required
  • 5-10 years of prior combined experience encompassing LIHTC origination and/or Affordable Multifamily lending, and sales and business development leadership
  • Consistent loan production performance in the top 25% of a company, and demonstrated annual volume growth
  • Selling to or representing HUD multifamily property owners
  • Existing relationships with HUD 1st lien lenders
  • Advanced skills in loan origination/credit assessment, and in sales cycle/funnel management, communication, collaboration and organization
  • Self-starter attitude and “get things done” mentality that requires little guidance to multi-task in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.  Able to handle numerous changes and tight deadlines
  • Reliable and accurate work and results
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to travel (40% – 60%) post-COVID-19

Preferred Experience:

  • Knowledge of or experience working in renewable energy and/or energy efficiency industries
  • Knowledge of commercial clean energy project financing alternatives
  • Experience working with a SalesForce platform
